At its heart, “Apple Pie” is a story about a girl and her robot. I’ve always envisioned “Apple Pie” existing in an alternate reality where the world had built killer robots during the ’50s, and the result was World War 3. The innocence of the protagonists starkly contrasted with the grim darkness of the setting created a delicious contrast. I hope you enjoy it.
