I grew up with lots of different variations of the Arthurian legend- and this one seems to be a synthesis of the best interpretations, with an elegant “Sliding Doors” style twist. I love that Guenivere and Lancelot are portrayed as people who make a mistake- a cataclysmic one, but a mistake nonetheless- rather than the calculating, self-serving homewreckers of yore.
