PROLOGUE
Glaring at the unwonted ceilings of the unrivalled forces of nature, he strides forward. His eyes set upon something so robust yet so tiny and fragile. His undivided attention falls on the lady standing in front of him, speaking into a mic with her arms rested on the podium. Her voices lingers through his hair, running a chill down his spine. And this is when he comprehends that the lady standing in front of him, is his daughter, the daughter he abandoned 27 years ago, the daughter he had tried to tame. His minds takes a deep step into the depth of this realization, his body fails him as quickly as his mind does. A little crevice in his brain reminds him of his atrocities against the female kind.
Everyone looks at the cause of the commotion, their preying eyes pierce into his old soul and scavenge for evidence of grief. His eyes still scan for the image of the abandoned little creation of his, she squats near him, handing him a glass of water to adjust his body. He lounges for her and hugs her really tight. She doesn’t flinch, her discerning eyes have already discovered the pain inside the brown eyes embodied in the bearded face of an old man. Her hands caress his back, comforting him and slowly and slowly gaining his trust.
“It’s me, your biological dad!” He finally heralds his reason for coming, but unaware of what he just said she loses her mind and starts panting heavily. Her hands swallow the pain in her heart and the ache in her head slowly calms down as she starts evading the reality. She runs into the wide expanse of nothingness and despair, her legs start failing her as she tries to outrun the face of adversity. Her head starts digging into the latest threads of memories, trying to connect the dots and make sense of what that unknown man just said. How could he be my biological father? She ponders upon this thought for millions of seconds until she comes to the very obvious and rather self-explanatory conclusion, that she is adopted and has been lied to for her entire life.
