Royalty Free & Paid Stories

Writers have the option to choose between “Royalty-free” and “Paid stories”

Royalty-free stories are free to read and writers do not get paid for them.  Paid stories require credits to read and writers get paid for them. Every writer can post a Royalty-free story without a reader’s token.

Writers will require one reader’s tokens to post a paid story. Prime members get 50 free credits each month.

Royalty-free stories are stories you write with no intent to earn from them and readers will be able to read them for free and share their reviews and comments. All writers can post free stories.

Writers do not need a reader’s token to post a Royalty-free story which means everyone will be able to post a Royalty-free story, both free and Premium writers.

Everyone will be able to read a Royalty-free story for free, no credits required. Writers will not be paid because it is a free story.  Readers will not earn a reader’s token from a Royalty-free story because they do not require credits to read.

Note that once you post a story as a Royalty-free story, you will not be able to also post the same story as a Paid story.  Likewise, you will not be able to change a story from Royalty-free to Paid story.

You will be able to post a contest in Royalty-free.

Paid stories are stories you write with intent to get paid for them.

Writers will get paid with a paid story whenever qualified pages are read by a new member. Writers will require one reader’s tokens to post a paid story.

Reader’s tokens cannot be bought or sold. They are free and can only be earned when you have read at least 80% of a completed paid story.  Learn more about Readers token
