Tangle….. A movie that I hid from my daughter for a long time. I tried to prevent her from watching this movie, or at least for a few more years. I switched the TV channel and deleted it from the suggestions of YouTube. All my efforts were successful for the first few years, but one day all my plans failed, and she reached the Tangle.
That night, when I entered the room, I saw her watching TV with great interest, and when I looked at the TV, one of my heartbeat was missed at that moment.
She was watching Tangled….with complete concentration. I stood back, thinking about what to do now. If I changed the channel, she would create a ruckus. Her curiosity will increase..she may try on her own.
And if I let her watch, how would I explain it? How would I face it????
Before my story, let's go through the story of Tangle.
Tangle is the story of princess Rapunzel, a princess whose hair has magical powers. The sorceress Gothel needed Rupanzal's magic hair to maintain her youth. One day, the sorceress Gothel lifted the little gem Rupanzal from her cradle. The sorceress imprisons Rupanzal, away from her king and queen parents, away from her palace, away from people, in a high tower in the middle of the mountains.
Rapunzel always found herself on the top floor of this tower. She never set foot on the ground. Nor did she ever meet anyone except Ghothel. As she grew older, her magical hair grew longer. Her hair was as long as when the witch had to come to the top of the tower. She called Rupanzel for her hair. Rapunzel used to drop her hair, and Gothel held it and climbed up.
The sorceress presented herself as Rapunzel's mother. she was everything to Rapunzel. Rupanzal's hair and her songs kept the sorceress young. That's why the sorceress never allowed Rupanzal to come down. No human passed through that place.
There was apparently no way to enter the tower. Only the witch knew that there was a burglar door.
No one can stop awareness. The awareness reached Rupanzal as it reached my daughter.
No prince came to save princess Rapunzel. Rather a thief Flynn Rider.
This Flynn Rider was my favorite character.
What a contradiction….. On the one hand, I wanted my daughter not to get the knowledge of this film, and on the other hand, I liked the character who made Rupanzal aware of the real world. Enlightened her and brought Rupanzal to her destination. Maybe I liked Flynn Rider because he took Rupanzal to her destination. I also want my daughter to reach her destination.
The story of Tangle proceeded with a natural flow. The witch lady came to an end, and Rupanzal was able to reach her real parents. Flynn also became a real prince by marrying Rupanzal.
Now let's come to real life. The story of me and my daughter Zainab.
Zainab is our non-biological daughter in English; for this occasion, you use the word Adopted. How simple is the word ADOPTED! But the nails of this word are so sharp that it peels even our soul. . Before Zainab it was a common word for us too, but after Zainab, it became our enemy.
If this word finds us somewhere anywhere it does not forget to jump and attack. By the time Zainab saw this movie, I had not made her aware of this fact. But thanks to the dutiful people around us, she got an informal sense of this as soon as she regained consciousness. Zainab didn't ask me any questions after watching this film. However, I still haven't forgotten those eyes that clearly asked, "Are you Mother Gothel???"
How can I tell her that her father and I, We are not Gothel.
Our society is where poverty, ignorance, and hatred make children a burden to their biological parents.
Last year I informed her about adoption. she had many questions. I crafted many stories to save her from the nails of ADOPTION. But the reality is too harsh to cover.
May God make our daughter so strong that no Gothel can affect her personality.
